The story of Charlie's Soap began in North Carolina. Charlie, Sr owned Sutherland Products, a company that made yarn oil for local textile mills. He employed his son Charlie, Jr to help make these oils. Charlie, Jr learned about yarn lubricants from his dad and was tasked with developing a special formula designed to clean them. He knew that his creation was a hit because the textile workers started stealing the cleaner left and right! He named the product "Charlie's Soap" not after himself but after his father Charlie, Sr. The local Winn-Dixie agreed to be the outlet and Charlie's Soap was officially born!
Nowadays Charlie's Soap is on the shelf both in brick and mortar stores and online. We are excited to bring this product to Canadian consumers and are proud to be official Canadian Distributors for Charlie's Soap.
Happy washing!
